News File Grabber is a specialized newsreader which lets you easily
download and extract all kinds of attachments and binary files (movies,
mp3-files, pictures and other stuff) from the newsgroups on the USENET.
There
are many decoding schemes supported, including MIME, UUE, base64 and
yENC (also multi-parts with auto-combining). The program supports
multiple servers, simultaneous download threads and secure server
connections (SSL). It has a built-in XPAT-Search, supports NZB-files
and can unpack RAR-files. You can post articles (also with files
attached) as well as extract from EML/NWS-files stored on your hard
disk.
New in this version:
- added a new Job-Manager. Jobs can be marked for downloading later. They also can be interrupted and resumed.
- Job-Queue will be saved automatically.
- Servers can be suspended and resumed by a single click.
- Web-Browser integrated (with your own favourites, e.g. for usenet search-engines).
- Now also header downloading with multiple download connections!
- Combining .001-, .002- files added. Neither HJ-Split, nor Masterplitter required!

Problem with a few providers solved (e.g. united-newsserver.de). Now, a
download-job will not abort, when receiving "Session timeout" or "too
many connections".
